The Storks have been learning different ways to look after our world. We discussed many things that we can change/do, such as: turning the lights off when we leave the room (as long as nobody else is still in it :)), not leaving the tap running when we brush our teeth, recycling our garbage and having a shower instead of a bath. We talked about how it is hard to walk to places in Abu Dhabi as it is often too hot and that there is not a lot of public transport, however, some children mentioned that they car pool in order to cut down the traffic on the road. The children then each made a pledge on something that they promise to do to help the world and signed it using a handprint.
Welcome to Year Two at Al Yasmina Academy. Our classes are Storks, Flamingos, Herons, Spoonbills and Sandpipers. We will use this space to share a selection of what is happening in Year Two. Don't forget to scroll down to see all our posts.
