Reading Spotlight - Spoonbills

This week it is our turn to share one of our Guided Reading Groups with you. We were reading 'The Lost Village of Skara Brae'.
Karim was able to tell us that Ancient was "really old and a little dusty!"
Omar showed the group how to pronounce island correctly and explained it is because of the silent 's'.
Georgia told us Scotland had a capital S because it is a country.
Adam was able to read the really tricky word 'archaeologists'.
Mariam could tell me that you don't say the k in knives as it was a silent letter.
Jonathan was excellent at answering questions and explaining tricky words such as 'battered'.

We had fun reading this and found out lots of interesting facts!
